You've said questionable things, SLMA, About library hours, You've had a lot to say. But you hide behind Joe, And the Union News, Now you've got to come out And pay your dues. So we want to debate you Any old place, You name it, we'll be there, Just show us your face. A train, a train, Would you like to debate us On a train? If that's your preference, Say it plain, And we will see you on the train. Would you, Could you, On TV? Or how about radio, What will it be? You do not want to, We bet you'll say, But try it, try it, And you may. Cause wherever it is You will plainly see That democracy in action Is where to be. You can speak the truth, You can breathe fresh air, You can stop the scare tactics, And show you care. So just say yes And we'll be there, We'll debate you anytime, And anywhere. On a train, On a plane, On the radio, or TV, Or in a closed library branch, How would that be? Or maybe in a forum In your place of abode, Which I believe would be Longmeadow, Just down the road. Wherever it is, On whatever day, Empower the voters, Is what we say By debating with us Up, through, round and down, On more library hours For Springfield our town! |
